U.S. midfielder Stuart Holden scores dramatic game-winner for Bolton to beat Blackburn 2-1 [Video Highlights]

13 Dec, 2010

U.S. International Stuart Holden scored a dramatic game-winning goal for Bolton to defeat Blackburn 2-1 on Sunday.

After trailing 1-0, Blackburn pulled even in the waning minutes of the game on a strike from Mame Biram Diouf. It seemed as if the draw was inevitable with Diouf's late game heroics, but Bolton, playing with only 10 men, were not done.

Holden's heroics came right after the kickoff resulting from Diouf's goal, when a long ball was sent down the field. Holden controlled the ball with his chest and drilled a stunning volley into the back of the net in the 88th minute for the game winner.

This was Holden's first game back after missing time with a thigh injury, and the goal was his second this season.
